Story#29: Loss

It was a long year of loss.

First he lost his job during the big financial crisis.

Then he sold off a garage full of tools.  A house full of furniture.  A couple of cars.

The last thing he sold was his house.

He had nothing.

He was forced to take his wife and child to live with family in another state.

He eventually found a job.  Got a car.  Got a place.

Everyday was a torture.  The schools were bad.  His wife was miserable being so far away from her mother.  They just did not fit in.

He promised his wife he would find a way to go back.

Once more time, he sold a house full of stuff.

He had nothing, again.

But he was home.
